Greetings,
I bought from Peter in June an absolutely great rod built on an Andrew J. Davis Kennet Perfection.
Unfortunately the river that I have been fishing for some time is full of snags and requires very sturdy equipment. It would therefore be a shame to damage such a beautiful cane or for it to collect dust.
So I'm looking for a new owner.
This stunning split-cane has been whipped and varnished by a talented rod builder/restorer who is also a member of this forum. His work is outstanding.
The rod has 1,25 lbs test curve and is 11 ft long, 2 piece with detachable handle.
The blank is slim with a steely feeling and very well balanced.
It was bought from Andrew J. Davis and at first an Englishman whipped and varnished it. His work was not bad but never excellent.
So it has been fully restored in Germany, re-whipped with fine silk and troughout with matching fine agate rings and has a great varnish.
The rod bag came also from the restorer and is made of a kind of suede.
A real beauty!
Feel free to contact me for more details.
Kind regards,
Nicolas
